Sabbath observance for many conjures up images of a dreary day. Negative legalism gets in the way of our understanding of what the sabbath is really about. Sabbath observance has declined over the last number of years bringing the Lord's day into line with any other day. Sadly this confusion also exists in the church.

But as we shall see the Sabbath has an extremely important place in the life and witness of the Church.
