The Reformed Presbyterian (Covenanter) denomination traces its roots to the Reformation in Scotland in the 16th century. Persecutuion was experienced because of the Stuart Kings' hostility to Presbyterianism. In such testing circumstances our church pledged inself in solemn covenant to remain loyal to Christ and His word - hence the name Covenanter.
The Lisburn congregation was organised in 1982 and from small beginnings we have grown through the help and blessing of Christ.
For more on what we believe please see our Testimony and The Westminister Confession of Faith.
